OVERVIEW

This Handbook (including a CD-ROM containing spreadsheet templates and other information) can be used to develop an inspection program for pressure vessels, piping and other equipment in a power plant or other industrial facilities.

The Handbook and the templates will help the user to develop an inspection program by: Framing an inquiry; Collecting and formatting the relevant data; Analyzing the data; Obtaining failure probability vs. time and other useful information; Performing system analysis when necessary; Mathematically determining the correct sequence and timing for a series of major maintenance activities.

This CD also includes an alternative flow chart that links to abbreviated versions of the step-by-step procedures. The Handbook identifies known areas where safety exposures exist and suggests ways in which these exposures may be addressed.
