WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: The purpose of this 1-day, intensive, hands-on course is to get you up to speed quickly in VBA programming and provide you with VBA program examples. If you require the capabilities of the built-in programming language of Microsoft Excel™ and Visual Basic (VBA) then this course is for you. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This course is intended for engineers and scientists who have good spreadsheet skills and basic knowledge of computer programming. Those who have previously attended the Institute’s Spreadsheet Power course, or who are already familiar with the expansive capabilities of spreadsheets, will find this course to be an excellent reinforcement. **Laptops are required for this course** YOU CAN EXPECT TO: - Learn how to apply VBA programming to many different engineering and technical applications
- Practice using the Visual Basic Editor to examine VBA code
- Learn how to communicate with the spreadsheet
- Learn specific debugging techniques using the Visual Basic Editor

David E. Clough, PhD, is Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. His interests are applied computing in chemical engineering, process control, and applied statistics. He has taught the use of spreadsheets in chemical engineering applications since 1985, and he has won a number of teaching awards.
Miles Julian is retired after 41 years with DuPont and is a consultant in engineering evaluations and methanol technology, both in the United States and in Europe. He has taught AIChE’s course Spreadsheet Power! With David Clough since 1989.
